Mossley's new Academy team got off to a great start in their opening League fixture at Warrington Town to come from a goal behind to record a convincing 5-1 victory.
After taking the game to the home side in the opening minutes that had seen the livewire Antonio Din Chin and the tricky and elusive Prince Owusu both go close, it was the home side who took a shock lead when the Mossley defence was caught out by a ball over the top and Court Francis went through to score totally against the run of play.
Warrington's lead didn't last long though as Din Chin levelled matters with a great strike within three minutes.
Mossley continued to make all the running and some great combination play opened up the Warrington defence for Owusu to rifle Mossley into a 36th minute lead.
The second half followed a similar pattern with Mossley constantly posing the greater threat and it was no surprise when Owusu lashed home a terrific angled volley to put the Lilywhites youngsters 3-1 to the good.
Skipper and Man of the Match Owusu completed his hat-trick from the penalty spot after Connor Yeoman was fouled in the box on 61 minutes.
The final goal came on 85 minutes when Din Chin opened up the Warrington defence yet again to give substitute Soran Abid a simple tap in.
Overall a fantastic and highly promising start for Lee Murphy's young team who showed great togetherness and a desire to encourage and work for each other.
